Gran Canaria, Canary Islands, is one of the most important Island in Spain due to its commercial and tourist development. The first advantage is its geographic situation that makes its port one of the first commercial ports in the world. This and the mild weather during the whole year make this destination one of the fair tourist area for Europeans. Through the high-way GC-1 direction Las Palmas-South, exit 34 is situated Vecindario, the first commercial and shopping area in Gran Canaria. In its coast you can find Pozo Izquierdo. There are two different ways to get to Pozo Izquierdo: from the Shopping Center Atlantico or through the old town El Doctoral. Pozo Izquierdo is the most important beach in the world for practicing windsurf. That is the reason why the PWA (Professional Windsurfers Association) chooses this beach every year to celebrate one of the events for the PWA World Championship. |
